The English language is taught and learnt daily and its topics are in correlation with the regular curriculum, it is also age appropriate for the children within every single group Daily activities are modified to suit the children according to their age, but also to their interests and abilities. The activities are carried out with the aid of various resources, such as picture books, flashcards, songs, recitation, educational videos, symbolic games, manipulative games, role plays, various quizzes, recognition and labeling, sound bingo and much more. The everyday school books used are Oxford and Cambridge editions, for instance, ‘Cookie and Friends’, Jack in the Box’, ‘Happy House’, ‘Dip in’ and so on.

We encourage learning through play as we believe that children best acquire basic knowledge of the language, language forms and language rules both early and completely naturally. In foreign language education a greatest emphasis is put on vocabulary expansion, which happens with ease. However, the same accomplishments are not expected from all children due to their individual differences. At the preschool level it is of outmost importance that children have a chance to hear and ‘experience’ the foreign language continuously, which is facilitated through daily communication in Croatian and English.
